Description

The pedigree identifies the sire's line as Huyskens–Van Riel crossed with Tom Lock, while the dam's side is also described as Huyskens–Van Riel family.

Sire's bloodline

The sire, ODRA 24 22285, is recorded as being bred from:

• Sire: ZA 23 57540 — annotated with Huyskens–Van Riel and Tom Lock.
• Dam: ZA 18 3840.

A published Karoo Million OLR auction listing records a pigeon identified as ZA 18 GPU 3840 as having bred a seven-time winner, a best club bird for 2022/2023, and a leading best bird in 2024. This is a potentially relevant bloodline match to the ZA 18 3840 recorded in this pedigree. The auction listing does not establish that the two references are definitively the same pigeon, so the performance should be checked against the original ring details.

The same auction listing also records a ZA 23 BORD 2192, which finished second in the Karoo Million OLR Final, first Ace Bird and seventh Hotspot 5, with a sire listed as ZA 13 57540, a five-time winner associated with Tom Lock. This is a similar ring number and strain reference, but the year differs from the ZA 23 57540 written on GPH 25 4612's pedigree; it should not be treated as a confirmed direct relative.

Dam's bloodline

The dam, ODRA 22 9141, is identified as Huyskens–Van Riel family.
