THE CHAMP / TOPPIE JANSEN CONNECTION

The dam 1055 ZA 16 PWFD is described as strongly bred to “THE CHAMP” Catrysse line of Toppie Jansen. She was received from Nico van Rensburg and subsequently became a major producer, breeding 12161, described as the best pigeon in ZWDK in 2020, as well as Union winner 2318. Her full brother 1078 bred 3228, the 2025 COGG winner.

The pedigree also contains TOPPIE HEN ZA 2011 GPU 18399, a Toppie Jansen gift that bred 1056, the 740 km Richmond winner, as well as 1055 and 1078, both of which became breeders of winners.

RELATED FAMILY WINNERS

The wider family has continued producing winners beyond the birds specifically highlighted in 7669's pedigree. Recent published pedigree records confirm that the Twilight / Turbo Tom / Powell foundation family has produced multiple winners through different branches. One closely related foundation cock, 02657 “Ou Man,” became a foundation breeder and produced stock cocks 0614 and 0615, both of which subsequently bred multiple winners. His related hen 02697 bred 4203, a PWF Derby winner in 2018 who won again in 2019, as well as Union winner 0319.

The same broader bloodline is also represented in modern OLR breeding programs. Published auction pedigrees identify Twilight/Turbo Tom descendants as breeders of Carnival OLR winners, AfrikaPro performers and other major OLR racers.
